Two Wins in 2011, Preparing for Huge 2012 Season! |

Bear Lake, PA (November 21,
2011)
Rick ‘Boom’
Briggs and the Boom Briggs Racing team had a very hectic
2011 season that was capped off with wins at Lernerville
Speedway in Sarver, PA and Little Valley Speedway in Little
Valley, NY.
With the family business hitting its busy season in spring
and early summer, Briggs spent a lot of time tending to
obligations other than racing.
In return, his
results on the racetrack suffered.

five top five finishes in 17 starts from February through
mid-June before claiming the $2,500 Mid-Season Championship
at Lernerville on June, 17.
‘When the (World of) Outlaws were on a break through
the month of June, Chub (Frank) and Derek (Chub’s crew
chief) were home a lot and helped get my program back on
track,’ Boom said from his home in Bear Lake, PA.
‘The guys at Rocket Chassis also helped get us back
in order before I started spending more time at the shop.’
Boom’s season seemed to have turned the corner after the win
and into the later months of the season as Briggs posted 18
top ten finishes, including a $3,000 win at Little Valley
Speedway, in his final 25 starts to end the season.
‘Things certainly picked up for us in the second half
of the season,’ Boom stated, ‘when we started spending more
time in the shop everything started to work a little better
with both my program and Chub’s.

relief for
us,’ Boom said, ‘It takes a ton of pressure off during the
first two days of the event and lets us go out and race.
Last year we ran well during the whole Firecracker

happen, it’s just a big relief.’
