Boom Travels into Canada with the
O'Reilly All Star Late Model Series, WoO in NY Next! |

Rick ‘Boom’ Briggs
traveled north of the border
and into Canada this past week with the O'Reilly All Star Late
Model Series with visits to Autodrome Granby and Brockville
Ontario Speedway. After some misfortune early in the
evening on Tuesday, Aug 11 at Granby, Boom was still able to
capture a fifth place finish. Briggs followed that up with
another fifth place finish at Brockville before heading to
Woodhull Raceway in Woodhull, NY with the ULMS where Boom
finished second in the $2,000 to win event. A couple of
WoO events in New York are up next for Boom as the series visits
Rolling Wheels, Mohawk Int. for a two-day, $20,000 to-win event,
Autodrome Drummond in Quebec, and Brewerton Speedway. |

Opens July with ASLMS at Central PA Speedway |

Briggs has had an awfully busy summer both on and off the race
track, but having success on the race track has made everything
worthwhile for the Bear Lake, PA throttle jockey.
After
finishing second behind good friend Rob Blair with the O’Reilly
All Star Late Model Series (ASLMS) at Central PA Speedway on
Memorial Day weekend, Boom traveled to Stateline Speedway in
Busti, NY on June 5 for a $4,000 to-win event. The evening
was uneventful |

for the Boom
Briggs Racing (BBR) team as Boom was credited with a 27th place
finish after dropping out early and Rob Blair, who was driving a BBR
backup car, was credited with a 14th place finish after winning a
heat race and contending for to win in the feature event before a
mechanical issue forced him pit side.

Boom Briggs of Bear Lake, PA held off the 2009
O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series Champion and current 2010
point leader Rob Blair, Titusville, PA and Bruceton Mills, WV
hard charger Doug Horton to capture his first ASLMS win of the
2010 season and fourth ASLMS win of his career at Sharon
Speedway’s $4,000 to-win ‘All Star 40’.

Bear Lake, PA (May 18, 2010)
Boom Briggs and the Boom Briggs Racing Team traveled to Hilltop
Speedway and West Virginia Motor Speedway with the O'Reilly All
Star Late Model Series this pas weekend and captured a ninth
place finish at Hilltop after battling all race long with Gregg
Satterlee and Jared Hawkins. Boom is also locked into the
'Mark Balzano Memorial' at WVMS after qualifying through the
B-Main. Reschedule date will be announced soon. Briggs
will be in action this upcoming Saturday, May 22 at Stateline
Speedway then to Central PA Speedway for the 'Grizzly' the
following week with the ASLMS where Boom is 3rd in points. |
